Chris Borton Memorial Scholarship
Award Amount
- Three awards of $5,000 annually
Description/ Criteria
- Only EAP and OAP participants in a year-long academic program departing summer or fall are eligible
- Strong academic performance with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA
- Study abroad plans must align with academic and career objectives
- Open to Undergraduates ONLY
Service Requirement
- While abroad, scholarship recipients must send e-mails and pictures about their experiences abroad to our office
- Volunteer to work the Programs Abroad Office Expo or a General Orientation
- Volunteer to speak as returnee for an Information Session, Country Session, or Country Orientation
- Actively support study abroad outreach and recruitment efforts upon return
- All service will be tracked and recorded to ensure fulfillment of requirements
Deadline
- Summer and Fall Departures: March 11 to March 18 2009
